not a problem as long as the kids are loved
I don't have a problem with it, but the kids might get hassle.

some kids are just horrible and will pick on anything that's not "the norm".

I would have thought some homophobic people would take the mick out of them and some even bully the kids though.
are we now not more tolerant as a society?
other kids are not always tolerant.
I think they are an excellent idea..........

But there's still that minority that would think it's not right.

Someone I know said, rather angrily when something was mentioned about it on the news, 'Why do they think they have the right to stop a child from having a normal family with a mother and family.' !!!!!!!! But aslong as they are loved and taken care of properly the child would most likely end up being better off than a child who has a mum and dad, but who smoke, take drugs and are alcoholics etc etc.
I don't think anything. I think ideally (sorry) all children would be brought up in loving stable homes by the man who sired them married to the woman who gave birth to them....we know that just ain't going to happen...I think two loving nurturing adults are a better option than many other scenarios, not forgetting that same gender partnerships break up too. I wonder what the child support/access law is in civil partnerships 0
or unregulated same gender relationships?
kids get bullied for a myriad of reasons, some reasons are unbelievably stupid, as long as the child is loved, nurtured and lives in a stable environment then I cannot see a problem.
"I don't think anything. I think ideally....."

And the prize for todays fastest self contradiction in an answer goes to........
Gay people can also take drugs, smoke and be alcoholics..............
i stand by what i say i have no problem as long as the children are being loved and well provided for.
My mate although single is gay and would make a brilliant parent shes always been fab with my kids, sexuality does not come into quality parenting.
Admitedly they may have a hard time as some kids can be cruel but no more so than kids who are of a different culture and experience racism, or kids whos parents cant afford the latest designer gear, it doesnt matter what the reason kids will find away to pick on others
Oh, and to answer the question, no I don't see anything wrong with it as long as the kids are loved and well brought up.

Unfortunately other kids are often not so well brought up by their parents to have balanced views and they will see a problem with it.
I live in an area where "same gender" relationships are totally normal.

But ... you see very, very few with children. Hardly any, in fact.

It's just accepted that, in choosing a same gender lifestyle, you have a lifestyle which, biologically, is inconsistent with the conventional nuclear family.

(this is not an invitation to start a "choice/genetics" debate)

A lot of people would love to have children (eg me!) but things just work out in a way that children don't quite fit in.

Just because you WANT children, and LOVE children, doesn't automatically mean that you should HAVE children. It's not like getting a new car!
" It's not like getting a new car!"

Unless you are Madonna.

I know jack, but what i'm saying is that it would be better for a child to be brought up well and happily by two gays than a 'normal' mum and dad family and get abused or neglected because of drink and drugs etc.
lol chuck, I didn't put that very well did I? Its early........
PS what's my prize?
PPS I agree totally with joggerjayne as well

DH and I are childless not by choice.
Kids growing up with a Mam and Mam & a Dad and Dad?

A sound idea, I'm all for it, in fact I really wish I grew up living with same sex 'parents'

Cos I would never have been bullied and taken the p1$$ out of mercilessly all through my childhood (and also into adulthood) now would I???
