Tried to watch this as I like the cast but really couldn't get in to it.

Seeing the yellow TR7 from the show selling for silly money on Bangers & Cash makes me wonder if I've missed a TV treasure.

Should I give it another go?

Yes, I thought it was great. There's a great scene with a jim;ll fix itr badge:

I watched a few of the first (?) series. It was OK but I won't be searching for it on catch-up.

I thought it was great, the humour was subtle and the characters well drawn. Definitely give it another go. The photography of the beauty of the countryside was lovely

£30k for Toby's TR7 was a bit OTT but the buyer seemed happy with it. And it was signed inside the boot lid by the cast....

I'll give it another go.

I might be in the minority but I always liked the Tr7.  L

My so absolutely loves this show but I just can't get in to it.

I tried finding a link to this bit but I couldn't. Toby finds a coin.

"It's roman".

"How do you know it's roman?"

"It's got latin on it".

"What does it say?"

"Status Quo"

It's for people who like subtle, gentle and understated humour...not belly-laughs.

We loved it.

I could never get into it when it was first aired, but some months back i began watching it on iplayer. Ended up totally hooked and watched all 3 series and the 2022 special.

As mentioned earlier, the humour is subtle but there are some real gems in there. Try watching it in the afternoons when you're stuck for something to kill the time. It will either grow on you or it won't - what have you got to lose apart from a couple of hours?

4 x Hancocks half hour shows are being shown now on BBC4(iplayer) if you like him.

Two hours? That's very nearly an evening full.

The Reunion Party

The Bowmans

Twelve Angry Men

and The Bood Donor

No don't bother, it's tiresome.

The Bowmans = The Archers, no doubt.

Such a lovely program with subtle humour and lovely characters. Give it a while and you will be hooked.
