One of today's papers has blasted the "Round Robin" newsletters which people send to their friends at Christmas, saying they are all hypocritcal, showing off their family achievements, etc. Do you agree, or do you like receiving them. And do any of you send them out too?

I don't but I can't see anything very hypocritical in telling people the kids have got their A levels and you've had a holiday in Australia. It's just keeping people up with your news, the sort of thing you'd tell them in person if you saw them.
I get them from american friends and relatives. it seems a bit cheesy - v american - i dont know any british people that send them.
We get a so called r robin from an old mate who works in the smoke! We find it very impersonal, and also rude.
