Bonfire night.
Guy Fawkes .
Remember, remember, the 5th of November,

Gunpowder, treason and plot.

I see no reason

Why gunpowder treason

Should ever be forgot.

Guy Fawkes, Guy Fawkes, 'twas his intent

To blow up the King and the Parliament

Three score barrels of powder below

Poor old England to overthrow

By God's providence he was catch'd

With a dark lantern and burning match

Holler boys, holler boys, let the bells ring

Holler boys, holler boys

God save the King!
Bonfire night, but I haven't taken part in any parties or events in over 20 years.

As a child we would go to my cousin's for fireworks as 5th Nov is his birthday.
Bonna night for us uneducated cloth capped pigeon fanciers :0))))
Bonfire or fireworks down this way.
I doubt anyone has an interest in the historical aspect down this way. They want NOISE!
Down in Lewis they'll have an image of Liz Truss on their bonfire.
Here in NI putting images of MPs on the fires is frowned upon.
Fireworks night.
Could you do it this year, Sandy as they're not working?

We don't call it anything as we don't celebrate it, Lankeela. Reason given it that the Irish would have been in the same line of thinking as Guy Fawkes and the gunpowder plot. :-)
Bonfire Night - but it's a pale shadow of what it was when I was a kid.
When I was a lad, in Bradford, it was Plot Night.
Bonfire Night here and although we're in a remote village, the sky is alive with fireworks, not a bonfire to be seen.
Fireworks night
Guy Fawkes Night
