I have bought a jar of clear honey (runny) and it has chrystallised and is now solid.
Is there an easy way to get it to revert back to being runny again?

...Or, put it in a pan with about 2 or 3 inches of water and bring to a boil... same result but sometime honey will explode in a microwave if not carefully watched...

Thanks Poodicat and Clanad. I think I will try the boiling water. Don't think I fancy a messy microwave, wife wouldn't be very pleased.
Complain to the bees....................
maybe it was made by thick bees.
Well the middle of their legs are the BEES KNEES ! Well thats the BUZZ around here anyway,id better get out of the garden as all these insect bites are making me come out in HIVES,and im starting to get bored of this track on my ipod, yeah its something by STING.
I have always had success by placing the jar up to its neck in very hot water (not boiling) and letting it stand. You may need to refresh the hot water once or twice and using a metal spoon to stir occasionally also helps. The honey is in no way spoiled in as far as flavour and goodness is concerned, it is just the sugars crystallising and that is harmless.

Heating a jar in the microwave is a silly thing to do!

Just leave it in some hot water and it'll be fine.
