Hi there,

I need to find out if household ammonia and white vinegar will react adversely together. I wondered if anybody knew. My chemistry is too poor to be able to do an appropriate equation and work out what I would get if anything. I am particularly worried about harmful gases.

many thanks in advance.

No problem. 1/4 cup baking soda, 1/2 cup white vinegar, 1 cup household ammonia, 1 gallon water. This is used as an environmentaly-friendly kitchen and bathroom cleaning solution. Just don't mix bleach with it, or you'll get your harmful gases!
