Morning jan xxx and Dicky. The rain is going to be moving fast across the country, it's due here in about an hour or so. Every time I look at the barometer it's gone down a point. that means fast moving a probably heavy.

Better today, yesterday woke up feeling like yeuch. Some bug or other. Not pleasant but recovering. Wasn't able to sit still for long enough to play on the confuser.

Morning boaty. Thought I'd hold off because nobody would be around, but you're an early lot on here. Shaping up to be much warmer today in South Cambs. The owls were quiet last night. There must be weather lore about that surely? Got Sooty Sadler coming round (we have nicknames for everybody around here; no idea what his real name is) to sweep the chimneys and remove the jackdaw's nest from one, this morning, so better clear rooms of enough of the year's clutter to give him a chance!

On the canal tomorrow, in the Heritage Centre, Santa is on the boat to give every child a present. Mum and dad get a hot seasonal drink and a mince pie. :o}
