Saturday.Lots of frost this morning. The dusting of snow we got yesterday didn't last long. No air movement still, so Helios will warm us up again. I hope so anyway, I'm on the canal today. Pick my mate up from Thornbury first. We will visit the TA for a meal on the way back this afternoon. It's his way of saying thank you, if I didn't he wouldn't be able to do the Visitor Centre. So we are both happy.

Have a lovely day everyone.

Morning wee. Thank you, I'm sure I will.

Yes. Tempus Fugit. Soon be summer. :o}

Enjoy your walk my friend.
Morning both, from a hot and sweaty Oz.
Question Author
Afternoon oz. Enjoy it mate. :o}

All well in upsidedownland?
All good at the R send of the world ;-)

How's you?

How's your BP going?
Question Author
I'm fine thanks old mate.

The BP is reasonable, a point or two high, but not enough to worry about. I'm impressed with the machine, it does all the working out on it's own and is very accurate. It goes back to the surgery Tuesday, along with my list of results.
Question Author
It gives the pulse rate too.
Sounds like a clean bill of health on the way.

Good stuff!!

Visitors Centre today or on the water?
Question Author
Yes, I'm happy with the readings. they are all within a point or two, which is as it should be.

Visitor Centre. (The boating season begins at Easter. Although it can still be hired for charter.)
The sky is clear, so it should warm up and with a bit of luck we could be busy.

Fingers crossed for a good turn out.

Had to rub my eyes a couple of times this morning when I got up, thought I was still dreaming.
Shuffled into the kitchen and saw a total stranger making coffee, she offered me one, quite nice of her.
A young lady back packer from the UK, she is working on a local farm and decided she would stay the night here, not that my son enticed her in any way.

Chip off the old block he is ;-/

ps: The coffee was delightful too.
Question Author
Now that's what I call a pleasent surprise! :o}

Son and young lady were just about to leave when Mrs Oz surfaced. The look on her face was priceless, wish I had a camera ready.

The young fella ended a rather toxic relationship a couple of weeks ago that had been going for 3 years. Good to see he is making new friends.
Question Author
Sounds good to me mate. I can just picture the look on Mrs. oz's face! :o}
Finally got my new second hand car sorted.
Did lots of overdue maintenance myself but had to put it into a garage for new rear wheel bearings. Shouldn't have needed them with the miles that it has traveled but who ever replaced the brake rotors didn't tension them properly.

All good now, even smells nice inside.
It's one of these.

Question Author
That is a nice looking car oz. Now it's all up together you should get years out of it.
As long as I don't give the keys to my kids ;-/

My last car was supposed to last me out, until kids needed a car to get to work.

The youngest is still driving it and he can keep it!

After all the 'roos it's found over the years I don't want it back.
Question Author
I can understand that oz. With the roos a Humber one ton armoured would be a good investment. It actually weighs seven tons, but the army call it a one ton...don't ask me why, I have no idea. If you ever saw any footage of the troubles in Northern Ireland you will have seen them. I'll see if I can find a picture.

There you go! :o}
Question Author
We called it the armoured pig!
Poor 'roos. I wouldn't even try to avoid 'em in one of those.
Are they airconditioned?
Modern comforts?
;-)

A second mortgage to feed one I'll bet.
Question Author
It's pretty basic. No A/C and short on creature comforts. A Rolls Royce engine though. It'll carry a huge amount of kit. The windscreens can be taken out, so it's got A/C of a sort! Easy to handle although no power steering.
