As some know I live in a cul-de-sac. The road that runs across the top has many houses, from my kitchen window I can see four of them. In one lives a man of about 60 ish. Everyday sometimes lunch time sometimes early evening he gets the bus into town for his main meal. Last night he came home by taxi. At about 10pm I saw the blue lights of the ambulance. This morning 5 cars turned up and they were literally fighting in the street over his stuff. I have never seen one of these people before. He never had any visitors and he never spoke of any family. Turns out he died during the night. Sometimes I'm glad I have no family. RIP Ronnie.

Nothing like a death to bring out the real nature of some family members.

Poor man.
Unbelievable.
no hopkirk, totally believable sadly
That is horrible
Didn't take long for the scavenging hyenas to appear then, Jeza. Sickening.
That is sad. It reminds me of when my gran moved into a nursing home. Loads of relatives who never bothered to visit her turned up at her house and took what they wanted.
Insects out of the woodwork!

When I saw this I had tears running down my face. What kind of people are they. I felt like driving in to the lot of them. B*st*rds.
Very very sad but not surprising.
My mother lives in sheltered accommodation & one of her neighbours was very ill & had to go into hospital. The next day her long lost nephew came & emptied her bungalow. The neighbour made a miraculous recovery, so they had to put everything back. They also had to buy her a new TV as they had sold hers. A bit of justice there I think!
my neighbour is suffering something similar over her recently deceased niece and the step children, very nasty situation. Death really does bring out the worst in people
Welcome to the Vultures....the latest reality programme..........
When my dad died, one of my brothers wanted things from his house. I had no real objections despite the fact he hadn't seen my dad for 10 years. However, when he asked what my dad's address was I threw him out of the house and he got zilch.
Carrust, I hope she made a new will and left everything to someone else or to charity.
No such luck ellie. She was a spinster & the vulture of a nephew was her only family still alive. Sadly, she died about three weeks ago & he got the lot. He did wait until after the funeral though.....

Although Ronnie and I only ever spoke in passing, this really upset me. He lived there for about 10 years and I never saw one visitor.
Rest peacefully Ronnie knowing nothing of this thankfully.
Thats made me feel very sad jeza, thinking that this man was all alone and never having one visiter in 10 yrs. So sad.
