Just read this on FB. Any thoughts?

Written by Stuart Thomson, Veterans for Europe. Stuart served in the armed forces.

"Brexit is cowardly. We are abandoning our allies to cower on our little island in the vain hope that no one will hurt us."

"China, the US are Russia are lining up to hurt us. You abandon your friends and allies at your peril."

With respect to Mr Thompson I feel that Brexit is courageous because we have the the grit to go through it and thrive away from an overbearing poorly run gravy train that has been stiffing us for years.
Hes undoubtedly another remainer trying to unfairly use his position to undermine the fairest vote we ever had.
How the hell can Brexit be cowardly. The UK is a lot smaller than our ‘allies’??? in Europe combined. We never cowered on a little Island when we stood alone for a year or two waiting for our’allies’ Eagletag.
The only people cowering are remainers who are scared to become independent and were not alive before the Grocer conned the gullible to join the rag tag Common Market. In those days the stupid youth believed in cheap wine lakes and duty free. Now they worry they will never see ‘Ibeefa’ again and their cell phones will die.
He may be a FB vet but whos vet was he?

Trumps first speech was to the Poles and said precisely this - that the US was withdrawing, and hey the Poles could pay for their own defence, and hey even further a warl between Poland and Russia was a good idea ....
and I thought o bloody hell .....
Yes PP. NB. I have never suffered fools gladly.
My thoughts are that veterans aren't necessarily correct when looking at protection of their nation's sovereignty. And that those who can't vaue that, will come to any incorrect conclusion to support their view, including spouting nonsense about abandoning friends and allies and insulting those who are able to see that a nation needs control of itself. Also it seems some do not consider the US an ally, which is unexpected of a veteran.

Well that panned out exactly as I expected. Little Engerlanders ha ha
And big UKers seem always to get it right.

No gold star for that I'm afraid. Not even a good effort. I don’t see how ‘Engerlanders’ are so little when it’s they who are courageous enough to want to venture into the big wide world when the rest, with little knees a-knocking, are desperate to remain tucked up and confined to the smothering swaddling blanket that is the EU. Cowards all.

Well said Naomi ;o)
Cobras, this guy has a strange view of what is cowardly. Cowardly is living under the regime of an unelected foreign power and collaborating with it rather than having the courage to liberate yourself from it. same. I'd have thought a vet would know all about freeing people from tyranny. I thank all my fellow brexiteers who defied those who "know best" and voted for our deliverance from vassalage.
Thank you baldric.
"China, the US are Russia are lining up to hurt us" - are they also lining up to hurt the 180+ other countries that are not in the EUSSR or just us?
Maggiebees vet would appear to be a Daesh mercenary. The US are his enemies. ????Perhaps this vet was bombed by them in Aleppo. What nonsense.
That sounds like the sort of crap Ted Heath might well have written. I don't know which branch this guy served in but I would happily be on the other side.
