today ...a middle aged woman driver stuck in traffic, one hand was holding her mobile phone to her ear and she was talking into it, the other hand she was using to pick her nose and she was steering with the wheel between her knees. Multi tasking taken to the next level !

i am trying to picture in my mind how she was grabbing the gear stick at the same time
You've never seen women putting makeup on while driving down the motorway?

excel1 like me most women drive automatics these days.
Was she wearing onesies or pyjamas?
I did a day's work trial with a well-known pasty firm, accompanying the manager as he covered for one of his delivery drivers. He drove, at well over the speed limit, while opening a packet of sandwiches in one hand, repeatedly making outgoing calls on the mobile held in his other hand and steering with his knees. Despite all of that, he still found time to talk to me, telling me proudly how all of the company's drivers had attended driving safety courses ;-)
If she was stuck in traffic, why the need to steer ?
When I'm in the passenger seat in a work van and I see someone driving using a mobile phone I hold my iPhone as if I'm taking a pic of them then give them the thumbs up, the reactions are priceless
I hope you reported her to the Police Dee Sa.......she sounds like a mobile accident black spot to me !
I nearly got knocked off my bicycle once by a lady who pulled out onto a roundabout whilst driving with a poodle on her lap...

So how did you vote in the 'driverless cars' poll?
Dee Sa can we see proof that most women drive automatics these days please as I don't know a single one that does.
^^^ me neither, and despite its irelevance, I know three men who do.
I've never driven and automatic in my life.
A long time ago I drove a truck in the city of Sydney for a living.
One afternoon I stopped at a set of traffic lights, looked down and to my right at the car that was next to me. There was a young lady enjoying the pleasure of her own company. I decided then that "I have seen it all now".
Needless to say that driver accelerated away as soon as the light turned green.
I drive a regular route to work and see girls doing their make up, boys on the phone, people eating breakfast, people picing their noses: not yet seen a boy doing his make up, but there's time. Drumming along to radio 1 while eating breakfast probably tops the poll.

sorry but I have always driven an automatic car though I passed my test on a manual, most of my family and friends do drive autos and we are all very working class peeps before I am judged as being posh, the woman concerned her car did move slowly whilst she was doing this.
Yuk,bogies on the steering wheel/gear stick! Breakfast perhaps?
Dee Sa, I'm puzzled. Why ever do you think you would be judged as posh because you drive an automatic?
