I didn't know she had cancer. How very sad.

I didn't know, either. She says she wants to stop chemo in November so she can have another Christmas, then die around February...... that's going to be a very hard Christmas for her family :-(
It is, Boxy. Just awful.
Sad news, I thought she was getting better after her cancer treatment. Very sad. I like Linda Bellingham.
I wish her and her family all the best. Having gone through this last Christmas, it's to say the least, difficult!
I am not sure that brave is the word.........pragmatic seems to be a better one.

Colon cancer with lung and live spread being treated by chemotherapy cannot be a "walk in the park" and the feeling of "is it worth it all" is a common situation with such patients.

A sort of "it would be a relief to die."
I liked her too. How very sad.
I'm very sad to read this. I didn't know she had cancer either.
Sad news. Funny and very sexy lady in the past, I remember her uin the Virgin Soldiers movie with Pam Stpehenson being very naughty... sad news for her and her family
Very sad news. I didn't know she had cancer. Just hope she has a nice Christmas for her family to remember although it will be difficult knowing what the end result will be.
I didn't know she had cancer either, a very difficult decision to take.

I understand why she has done this, but it is very hard for the family.

Better to die with dignity and your family around you, than linger on in great pain.
So very sad to hear of this,I expect it is the last decision she thinks she can make about her body, very brave and so difficult to time when to stop treatment, let's just hope she achieves her last wish!
The last time I read about her cancer, she was doing OK, so this is such a shock. Poor lady.
66 is too young to die but if the suffering is too much to bear assistance should be given. Am very sorry she suffers.
Yes this is very sad.Doesn't seem as though all these adverts giving hope about beating cancer will come in time for or many thousands more unfortunately.

Very sad News, what a brave Lady, always liked Lynda, hope it's not too hard on her ... . .
Sad news. I hope things go painlessly for her when the time comes.
I read part of her book in the Daily Mail yesterday, it brought tears to my eyes.
