Good evening and welcome to all those who have sailed or waded through flood waters, trudged through snow, and been buffeted by stormy winds to join us at Nungate Towers this Saturday. For those few, that happy few unaffected by the weather in their journey here tonight, you too are most welcome.
As we are still in Olympic mode, tonight's Tailcock will be the "Gold Medal" (as worn by that intrepid slider Lizzie Yarnold - very well done!!)
On the hot plate tonight we have, Potage Bonne Femme, ( despite good women being hard to find these days, we managed!) There is also a Minced beef hotpot on the hot plate, just the thing for the cold and wet weather, hot and hearty being the order of the day) Of course there will also be the customary, volly vonts, canopies and horses doovers. On the pudding trolley there is a delicious steamed jam sponge, with custard or cream (Oh dear, I seem to have gained another couple of pounds!)
Our entertainment tonight comes in the shape of our favourite band the Tone Deafs and tonight they will be playing a selection of golden oldies (feel free to request any song you like) and as always, up in the gallery in the Great Hall, the Minstrels are busily tuning up their usual repertoire of madrigals and toccattas.
Owing to the high winds (thankfully now abating) it has been decided that the bungee will remain out of action until Spring as will the hot tub, which has been relocated to the dungeons by the indoor swimming pool, naturally the mini bar has accompanied the hot tub to its new location.
Still in use however is the ski slope and the ice rink, and we have also added a toboggan run! We have provided the necessary sliding equipment
and safety gear.
For those members who may experience difficulty in returning home this evening, please be aware that the guest suites are available and ready to use. All amenities are available for members, the library has a vast collection books, magazines and periodicals, the latest edition of "Theoretical Physics for Beginners" has just arrived, as well as the Valentines issue of "Cow Punchers" weekly. The games room is fully equipped with most games, tables have also been set up for card games (please note that gambling is illegal within the confines of the Towers) Our fully equipped gym has a new personal trainer in the shape of that former all in wrestler Fearless Freddie, scourge of the Kirkcaldy Crochet Guild.
Igor will be on hand at the main entrance for the concealment of all cloaks, coats and broomsticks, (the safe return of which is never guaranteed)

A warm welcome awaits all who dare enter these portals

Just watched your YouTube vid, DT, powerful stuff, that sea water isn't gonna do motor vehicles any good is it.
Or pedestrians for that matter!
No reports on what happened to those folk watching by the veg shop.....Jelberts is across the road, a neat cheese shop next to it.
There probably at home drying out in front of the fire, DT.
Cheese! O bliss, o joy.
Question Author
"a neat cheese shop" - does it sell Mahon cheese? I'd love some Mahon cheese!!
-- answer removed --
Don't ask for much but would love some Wensleydale with apricots or just Cheshire or Caerphilly. Locally it's Cheddar or on a good day Brie.
It will be a pleasure. Zooby, have you had a chance to see what's on offer here?
We have an indoor swimming pool, games room, snug, library, ballroom, great hall, and outside as well as the snow sports things, there is a lake, race track, maze and beach where we sometime hold these meetings in the summer. Do be careful not to fall in the moat there are piranhas in it - the moat was stolen last yeae and the piranhas were introduced as a security measure. We also have a ghost called Sir Cumference, who lives down in the cellars, he is sometimes visited by his cousin Sir Kit, we do have an extensive range of facilites for our members and we do like everyone to have a good time.

Thank you for the sale pitch Igor. You seem to have hidden talents!
Hi Zooby. The Rifle is fun. Have you bought a ticket? We all contribute to the prizes. If you are lucky you don't win. Sometimes carrying them home is a problem
Question Author
Carrying stuff home is dependent upon the width of the broom Daisy is it not? We could deliver I suppose.....
It is time that I am on my way. Thanks to all; have a good trip, Daisy, if you are away

On Newlyn Bridge the waves are bright;
Upon the streets left and right
Water soaked houses the Spring-tide greets;
The water leaves a shingle sheet;
Sprays star the lanes’ grey night.
Across the Bay each Cornish height
Morose in the evening light,
And Dusk walks teary-eyed and cheat
Those who live on Newlyn Bridge.

A swarm of lights, pearl-soft and white,
A fairy-lamp-land exquisite,
Opens its star-eyes at the feet
Of hills where shore and wavelets meet;
Then dreams come, mystic, infinite,
On Newlyn Hill.

Thanks nun but Eric would be affronted. He is a very adaptable broom. Even talking about indicators, though I am sure that he secretly hankers after Blues and Twos.

Another ode from the Bard. That you away already DT? Well if you are,
good night and sleep well.
G'night then, DT.
Thanks DT. Take care, keep your powder dry. Sleep tight.
Question Author
Oh Daisy, I'm certain he'd be thrilled! You must let him have the blues and twos, we would know when you're about to arrive and Igor could be waiting at the door with your welcome tailcock!
Shhh!
Has Eric got any headlights, or rear lights so he can see where he's been, Daisy.
