It's quite true - just stop shaving the areas where you want hair to grow. If you can't grow any it might mean you have to wait until you're older, or you might naturally have a face which is not especially hairy.

It helps keep hats on in windy conditions - a short velcro strap on each side of the hat becomes well afixed to the facial hair.

You can get the seeds from any good horticulturist. Plant in the Spring and keep warm dark and watered until the shoots begin to show.
