As Mamyalynne says,
''Different things work for different people and different headaches.''
I've always found a combination of Paracetamol and Aspirin works best for me like in Anadin Extra but I always buy the shops own brand as they are a lot cheaper. Here is a link to the ones I buy from Tesco.

Hiya Barsel ;)
The trouble with those combi ones is that they contain caffeine,...I know the idea of that is to speed up how they work, but I've started having headaches again lately, and before I go to the GP and go down the codeine route again, which I really don't want to do, I'm experimenting with paracetamol alone, alternating with ibuprofen. As I drink de-caffeinated coffee, it seems crazy to have it in my painkillers.
Hiya Baths, I don't mind the caffeine as my headaches are usually when I'm feeling tired so these particular tabs make me feel better.Get your butt over to Technology and solve my problem, I know you are ace at that. :-) xx
Sqad they start out as a mild headache - maybe it is the beginning of a migraine - then I go blind in one eye and start feeling nauseous. As soon as I take a tablet, I am able to see a little while later.
