I set myself three tasks this week ::

1...get my ruddy Broadband working
2...get the DAB signal back
3...get the street light outside my home fixed.

The 3rd one has now been achieved ! Two Council chappies, in a cherry-picker have just arrived to replace the light unit, after nearly 2 months of me repeatedly naggin the useless Swansea Council. We now have a lovely new "white" light unit, which will be much better then those horrid old orange sodium ones. they have just left, unblocking my drive. It must have taken all of 15 mins.

So, what this week has demonstrated that if you want something done, you need to nag and nag and nag until its done ! Don't accept any excuses but remain polite at all times.

By the way, although my Broadband seems to mysteriously fixed itself overnight, I am still waiting for that BT Openreach visit that I was promised between 08:00 and 13:00 today.

I`m waiting for BT as well. Yesterday they said the fault on my line is outside of my property so I don`t have to be here to let them in which is just as well because I won`t be. They said it would be fixed between yesterday and Tuesday. I bet it is nearer to Tuesday than yesterday..

My thoughts are with you 237 ! If it was only my telephone line that had been faulty, its wouldn't have been too bad. I could have managed with my Mobile. But it was the Broadband signal that had disappeared.
It's probably started working fine because they are about to visit.

A bit like taking your car to the garage for an intermittent fault - it never plays up when the mechanic is near it.

From my experience as an ex-BT Engineer Hoppy, its my firm belief that the fault lay in the Exchange and that whoever was going to come along this morning, had a quick look at this yesterday and found the problem then.

Although that doesn't explain why nobody has contacted me this morning to report that a visit will now not be needed, thus saving me have to wait in since 08:00 today !

But it all helps to build up my case for some compensation here. I have spent £25 on my dongle since the Broadband went off on Sunday.
