I was at RAFA last night. We had a talk by a Spitfire pilot. fascinating it was too. He holds the DFC. They didn't hand those out just for turning up!

Too right they didn't, Boaty - I had 2 bosses who held the DFC whilst I was in the RAF - both at the end of their careers. One of them also had a bar to his - reminded me of Kenneth More (when he portrayed Douglas Bader)
