I use the expression "Tea, laddie" just about every day, but i'm not sure why except that I think that it comes from an advertisement (I'm 48 and it was a long time ago).
another name game player? I was hoping to find the answer to this one here too!
Just a guess but could it be Harry Enfield from The Fast Show ?
Nah, Harry Enfield has been already guessed - amazing how many people on here from Sussex area :o)
Young man is definatly from Harry Enfield and Chums. 2 old ladies who used to get a teenage male to do something completely normal, and then infer that he was using a doublentondra "Young Man" was the reply
Rick Astley

I'd have to agree with the Kathy Burke / Harry Enfield series of sketches featuring the old woman (Kathy Burke) who would latch onto any innocent phrase as an excuse to molest the victim with the words "Young Man"!

I believe this is what Tony described as a "doublentondra" which, in itself, is almost as funny as those original sketches!

No offence Tony, but I think you meant Double Entendre! Remember, Google is your friend!
