...how to spell something you don't know how to spell?

Some words just defy spelling when said aloud.

The word I am looking for at the moment I think starts with g (not sure though) but starts with a sound like sh.

OH well I will just have to wade through the dictionary all day lol

If you don't know how to spell it a dictionary isn't much use. Far better to misspell it phonetically on a site such as this and a young constable from the spelling police will soon put you right.

Hi, Cassa.....I just open a new tab and put in the word, spelling it as best I can, this always works.....
I used to put....mean.....after the word just to make sure..... but I type fast and sometimes missed out the a in mean and got some weird, wonderful and sometimes scary pictures of men....so now I just put in the word I'm looking for..........☺

Genre can be pronounced with an English "j" as in "jug" or a French "j" as in "je t'adore" so a "sh" sound is not too far of the mark.
