Thanks, I prefer fortune helps me. I think fortune favours the brave is fortis fortuna adiuvat. The Latin words are on a crest which may come from Belgium.
fortuna - fortune good luck

adiuvat - favours

word order is correct for Latin - subject object verb (SOV)
VOS languages do exist - weird ! papua new guinea springs to mind
