Struggling to keep MrF hydrated at the moment.
Hit on the idea yesterday of buying jellies.
(His food tastes appear to have gone back to nursery level, eat the best bit on the plate and leave the rest. 5 minutes later announce he needs trifle or similar, because he is still hungry.)
Anyway, back to the point, put the kettle on, broke the cubes apart and went to the packaging to check the ammount of boiling water needed.
Add 100mls cold water and microwave on high for a minute !!!!!!
How long have we been doing this then.
You can tell it's a long time since I made a jelly.

nope I do it the old way - boiling water stir until dissolved and top up with water or diet lemonade.
Have you tried icepops - that is a good way to keep hydration up xx
icepops, now, that IS a darned good idea!
Would never have thought of that, I may just get the FIL a load for his freezer.
Still make mine the old way too. You could buy some ice lolly moulds and make some fresh orange juice/apple juice lollies ferlew
I stopped buying Icepops because of the additives
you can buy some very good sugar free additive low icepops - I did after my op or buy the moulds from the pound shop or Ikea do calypso style ones and make your own.
Just had a look at the additive free ones Islay. Nice to make your own, you can choose your favourite juice.
jello good
good idea

Unfortunately MrF has never been a fan of an iced lolly, or any kind of fruit juice or cordial.
Wonder if I can make Guinness ice lollies?
ferlew if it freezes which it should and it won't mess up any medications why the hell not!!
guiness might not freeze completely solid but it would make a slushy!
