I have recently started doing some weight training, well about 3 months ago now, only at home with free weights, bench and stuff.

I train quite hard for between 1-2 hours, 3 times a week, eat a balanced diet, and am noticing gains slowly.

My question is, how long will it be, if i keep up this routine, until i see big gains, like a body to be proud of?

Any muscly chaps out there that can tell me, how long will it take???

Many thanks in advance.

Muscle building takes time and all depends on how much you are lifting and your technique.

It's a slow proces too if you are older than say 25 or so as it's much easier to bulk up when you're 19 or so.

I always found that I accidently over tightened bottle tops and jars and crushed my girlie when cuddling her.

Beware at the supermarket you'll always be nominated to carry the "heavy bags" too....have fun and don't over do it !

Free weights at home are fine if you are just starting out, but if you want to gain serious weight you have to go to a proper gym eventually. Find a decent one and book an assessment with a trainer, who will write you a plan.

Make sure you are bulking up on your carbs. If you want to put on weight without eating too much fat try Slim Fast.

Seriously if works wonders if you reverse what it is intended for. That is don't replace a meal with Slim Fast, add it to your existing diet. You get about 300kcals per Slim Fast of pure goodness.
