Yes Sandy...of course.
Doesn't seem fair, that.

Like I said, joeluke, facts and not speculation, please.

Just because you despise gay people does not automatically mean that we are all inveterate liars.
So that will be One Law for nearly all of us then Jack will it ?
Question Author
I'm sorry, suspect, but I don't see your point ?!?
Jack you posted

jackthehat
....Why should they be given a special dispensation for operating outside any law you or I would have to follow ?......

Seems some can have special dispensation

In several parts of the world, Sikh riders are exempted from wearing a crash helmet when riding a motorcycle, which cannot be done without removing the turban. These places include India, Singapore, the United Kingdom, and the Canadian provinces of British Columbia and Manitoba
What's Joe saying? That they booked in as Mr & Mrs?
jth,no disrespect but anyone who is homophobic will never see the point you are trying to make,,,,,,,,,
Anne - Does that stop Christians trying to get their point across?
Question Author
Ahhh.
I'd rather hoped you'd stuck to *this* story..........better luck banging that particular drum elsewhere.

ummmm - despite evidence to the contrary joeluke is convinced that both sets of hoteliers were set-up by both gay couples booking in as a him & her couple.
If they weren't Trading Standards should have set the bigoted B+B owners
JTH....no evidence either way to say whether that did or didn't happen
set up^^^
I watched the interview with them. They didn't come across as people trying to make easy money.

If I had booked into a B&B...especially a nice, animal friendly one....I'd be fuming if they turned me away. Even for a legit reason. So I don't blame the couples...it must have been humiliating.
I only mentioned it because you say we should all abide under the same law

A Sikh police officer who was orered to remove his turban during riot training was awarded 10,000 pounds compensation by an employment tribunal for discrimination.

The sikh religion requires male followers to wear a turban and they do not have to wear crash helmets under the Motorcycle Crash Helmets Act 1976.

Yoy don't seem to have a problem with people from other religions getting special treatment

This sounds a bit two face to me
Joe - was that brought up in court as part of their defence?
Question Author
Apart from the fact that there was 'NO' evidence to that effect brought up in court........

Just because you dearly wish to believe the gay couple to be liars, joeluke..........it ain't necessarily so...
SUSPECT - That is not discrimination though.
Question Author
SUSPECT - You seem to be struggling with this so I shall type it slowly.....

What you say may well have merit, but please, please confine any comments you have to make to the issues raised by my OP.

Thankyou.
Humiliating my @r$e!.....they probably had an alternative room in another hotel already booked because they knew this was going to happen
