// Well, the pizza slice in my emoji library has pepperoni and olives on it, //

And what personal library would that be ?
I was refering to Gmail's selection. I rarely use it, but obviously there have been more changes since I last did. (More Orwell) Baby steps.
The pizza used to be round, not a slice. Considering how small the icon is, how do you know what the toppings are ? The Windows version is no better. You must have incredible eyesight !

And who gives a **** ? Perhaps you missed the point.
I have to admit that I do not know what 90%+ of the emojis are supposed to mean or what they are. They are both useful and annoying - depending upon how many are used.
AZardoz.

Well I can see the emojis quite clearly on my tablet, so I'm guessing you have rotten eyesight.

All my point is initially, don't make up stuff to support your point, and more importantly, it's only a bloody emoji, just like the pregnant man one is. It is not going to bring down civilisation and plunge us into some Orwellian dystopian future.
Sigh...

Vegans did not have pepperoni slices removed from the pizza emoji.

The problem with people repeating verbatim 'facts' they've read on the Internet is that nonsense gains currency.

It would be great if people did a little research before posting.

This isn’t about the emoji per se - were it ‘filed’ along with those of Mickey Mouse, as it should be, there would be no argument. However, in the ever-increasing demand that the rest of us support the lie that is politically correct fantasy, it has produced serious claims from people who insist that ‘men’ can become pregnant.

Just as a by the by, if you’re ever attacked by a shark be mindful of what you tell the paramedics. In order to portray sharks in a more positive light, scientists in Australia have re-branded attacks as ‘negative encounters’. ‘Sigh’ indeed.

poor naomi, as if the woes of Britain didn't lie heavily enough on your shoulders, you now have Australia to fret about! All on a peaceful Sunday morning too.
Don't fret, jno. I wouldn't want to spoil your peace.

There are no emojis of Mickey Mouse. Probably because he's a trademark. What you might be thinking of is an emoticon, such as this:

°o°

This is a symbol made up of a series of keys where as an emoji is an image which is predefined, agreed and then released.

In this instance the statement you made here:

[i]However, in the ever-increasing demand that the rest of us support the lie that is politically correct fantasy, it has produced serious claims from people who insist that ‘men’ can become pregnant.[i]

is strange because it puts forward the idea that this emoji is a symbol of a specific attitude when in fact it could be used in this sentence, say in a WhatsApp chat:

Cathy: "You know what? I went through swollen ankles, varicose veins, morning sickness through the pregnancy but the way Adam moaned you would've though it was THIS "pregnant man emoji".

Or indeed it could be used by people like you in the context:

naomi24: "No matter what the politically correct lobby say - I don't believe in "pregnant man emoji".

Not sure why you posted that about sharks.

But good for you for finding the link. I'm sure that will come in handy.
//There are no emojis of Mickey Mouse. Probably because he's a trademark. //

And 'sigh' .... again.
naomi24

I'm not sure what you mean.

There are no trademarked emojis.

I've just pulled an emoji keyboard up and can't see any.

Hmm...this site does accept emojis at all.
Do we really need to have a conversation about whether or not using Mickey Mouse as an example of a fantasy figure is acceptable? Try any cartoon figure. That'll do.
Ahhh...I see.

But isn't that an opinion rather than fact?

In your opinion no man can get pregnant, but according to this argument men can:

https://www.healthline.com/health/transgender/can-men-get-pregnant#TOC_TITLE_HDR_1

But I can see where you're coming from, although I don't agree with you.
They're not men.
^And that's a 'fact'.
No, it's a choice of definition.
No .... it's a fact. As I said, wanting it to be so doesn't make it so.
The may not be men in Naomi's eyes, but they look like men. The emoji also looks like a man. In that case, the emoji is an accurate physical representation of a pregnant person who looks like a man, every one's happy and there's no need to wprry about the emoji bringing about the fall of Western civilization.
