Something to remember. An important anniversary.

Hi LJ, I fear this year it’s being forgotten
Wont be forgotton here Bobbi. Many people gave their lives so we could have the freedom we have today and will always be remembered.

Hi Shedman, not here either, but try getting that across to those masses that gather in London for demos, I saw a picture where one of these ( young white man) was relieving himself against the statue of Winston Churchill , this was on Thursday
Bobbi that is so disgusting. This special day is not forgotten here and elsewhere. I'm getting fed up with this black lives matter campaign. surely all lives matter and there is no way I can condone or support looting and violence as a way to resolve a problem.

But back to D-day. I've even planned a special meal for tonight. Nothing really special but different from what I usually do. I have family in the military so we will be in contact and celebrate together but apart.

Me too, people are being swept along on a sea of demonstrations ,forgetting of maybe not caring that they are spreading a deadly virus and forgetting that if it wasn’t for those who died in 1944, they would not be allowed to attend such demos
It is disgusting but one moronic action ought not to colour our judgement of those around him. For all we know, many of them may very well be recognising D-Day, in some way, today.
I have to admit I didn't know it was D Day, so thank you very much for reminding me. Heard nothing on the news as yet.

It’s not taking precedence on the news Ken, the BLM is
Our grandparents fought so that we would be free, therefore they also fought so Black people can be treated equally.
@08.50 /Many people gave their lives so we could have the freedom we have today/

What freedom would that be then? I know what you meant shedman, but in the context of the current situation, freedom seems like a bludy joke.
Oh he’s off!
Freedom from tyranny.
