^In your opinion ... but then we know that. You've told us .... often.

// Brussels has responded with bafflement to Boris Johnson’s claims that progress is being made in the Brexit talks, with EU officials saying discussions are going nowhere.
“There was literally nothing on the table, not even a sketch of what the solution could look like,” said an EU official familiar with the latest talks with the British government. //

Gromit, we know what 'an EU official familiar with the latest talks with the British government' said.
In my opinion and also the government's opinion (see Operation YellowHammer) and the opinion of more or less everybody who has taken the trouble to analyse the probable effects of a No Deal Brexit. It's not like I don't have support from actual sources. Deriding evidence-based statements as "in your opinion" is fairly meaningless.

I'm happy to have my opinion corrected if evidence can be provided to explain why actually No Deal is beneficial, why the UK will be strengthened by threatening it, why carrying it out will resolve the issue, etc.
Just 7.5% of his Bracknell constituency voted Lib Dem at the 2017 election upon which he was elected to Parliament.

Given that he is such an advocate of a People's Vote, surely he'll seek a fresh mandate, right?
Jim, //It's not like I don't have support from actual sources.//

I've seen some of the sources you offer - and your tactics in offering them. Not a word .....
YellowHammer was/is just plans for a possible no deal. I'll give you that EU intransigence meant it was likely the only Brexit option left, but others have the right to be more optimistic than I.
Naomi,
If Boris says there has been progress, and the EU says there has been no progress, then one of them is lying. Johnson produced no evidence to back up his statement (and has a history of being economical with the truth).
Gromit, the EU has gone from 'no more negotiation' to asking for Boris's ideas. That alone is progress.... so who is lying?

Who your mysterious 'EU official' is remains a mystery because you don't know and the Guardian doesn't appear to know either.
// [The EU has gone to] asking for Boris's ideas //

Asking Boris for ideas sounds like a plan guaranteed to fail. But they didn’t asked for his ideas, they asked him to explain how he proposes to make the Backstop work in NI. (Clue: He doesn’t know).

Say what you mean, for crying out loud. I've offered official documents, news articles, economics papers, etc etc. What the hell are my "tactics", other than sharing what I regard to be evidence?

And, in the meantime, where are your sources?
Mr Lee said he did not like the fact that Dominic Cummings, has the power to Sack an adviser, and have her marched out of no 10 by an armed P/O.
Also he did not like the attitude of JRM. No faith in Boris . that only leaves IDS ,to make a slip now and that will be the end of the Infamous four
After Johnsons performance today , all he has achieved is making Corbyn start to look electable.
Gromit, from your favourite, the Guardian.

//Brussels is preparing to offer Boris Johnson a no-deal Brexit extension beyond 31 October in an attempt to help him keep the Conservative party together and provide one more chance to strike an agreement deal.//

... according to an 'EU diplomat'. Another mystery - but a far cry from 'no more negotiating'.

Along with others similarly wonky, I'll file your deliberations on this subject in my file marked 'J'.
Gromit //// Brussels has responded with bafflement to Boris Johnson’s claims that progress is being made in the Brexit talks, with EU officials saying discussions are going nowhere.
“There was literally nothing on the table, not even a sketch of what the solution could look like,” said an EU official familiar with the latest talks with the British government. //

Who is "Brussels" ? Boris has had 1 to 1 one talks with various leaders, those of Germany, France & Ireland & possibly others - these are the main players, not an anonymous EU official
Dominic Cummings was quoted in the DT as saying that the “negotiations/discussions” were a sham.
Rumour has it Johnson or one of his staff rang the paper to tear them off a strip for publishing it. They are after all the official party organ more or less.

Interesting to hear the DUP pleading for talks with the Irish government. Oh how times change!
Philip Lee's constituency in Bracknell voted 52% to Leave the EU . On 1st June 2019 his local Conservative Association passed a motion of no confidence in him because of his stance on Brexit . He jumped before he was pushed . He would have been sacked from the Conservative Party anyway when he votes against the Government anyway. Good riddance. Now bring on the G.E. and enter stage right the leading light Farage. Do the pact, to not contest constituents where the sitting M.P has followed the wishes of those who elected them, and sweep the board of all the broken pieces on an election that is based on Brexit or not. Just like the Remainiacs have been asking for since 2016. How many times were they warned about being careful what they wished for? Haha.
