Do protesters and activists really represent the average man in the street who actually has a job to go to and a life to lead. And are we paying out to keep them on benefits so they can protest ...... ?

Then why put it in News?
You pre-empted my question Nellie! Do the shouty idiots outside Westmister think they are achieving anything? And if there is almost full employment in the UK why aren't they at work?

(and yes it is on the news with every report from outside Parliament)
Why police the site?

Maybe they took a days holiday but I do not believe they represent the average person.
They may not all be on benefits though. Pretty sure loads are employed.
They took the day off?
They work night shifts?
They’re on zero hours contracts?
Who knows :-)
Quite a few probably retired
Are employed folk not allowed time off work now?
Some protests echo my views some don't, you can't really lump all into one unit.

However unlike you Nellie, I am unaware of the employment status of all protesters.
There's still lots of average men. they vote normally.
"Do protesters and activists really represent the average man in the street "

they represent the leftie losers who only like democracy when it suits them...they want to force their ideology , opinions etc on you even though theyve lost a legal and democratically held vote
NELLIEMAY, are you working?
well that lot are either the unemployed, unemployable or loaded Brats. The rest of us have to earn a crust. Most of them have been told what to think by TROB.
i fear that some of the regulars i hear on the news are in danger of becoming hoarse
It's not just remoaners - there are nearly as many George cross flags as EU stars.
Who are all these shouty people on AB?
:-)
The Brexit supporters outside parliament are of course different.
I'd love to cut the tongue out of that mouthy g1t that always seems to be shouting when there's an interview going on, he only knows two words......"STORP BREXIT" - plonker!
I'm sure I heard him shout something about democracy...
What an assumption.....people who protest against things they do not like are on benefits???????Good grief..... or retired, students, finished work for the day, on holiday, sufficiently concerned about the sate of the UK, the climate, poverty etc etc to give up their time to ensure that those in charge notice their concerns...of course it may do no good as those in charge are, generally, the moneyed elite...but there you go.
I did like it when in a speech yesterday Lord Farage of Farage complained that Britain was descending into mob rule. Unfortunately he was drowned out by irony klaxons.
dunno why they carry placards demanding democracy, that's the last thing they want.
