I know how he felt, Pasta....I did something similar in my daughter's bathroom (without the seagulls) when I fell out of the bath clutching the spraying power shower and grabbed the towel rail....which I still say wasn't attached firmly enough to the wall in the first place....
She did find a good plasterer to repair the damage..... :-)

Haha great tale. Like a Norman Wisdom sketch. Fair dos to the Hotel as well. Love the picture of the receptionists crying laughing as he relates the story, and the comment that the event is well remembered by long serving staff. I bet it is.
