Massive loss for the Tory Party. Well done LibDems. Good result for the STAY campaign as well.

I'm off back to bed now !

As I posted above, they result killed any chance of a general election stone dead.
•that result.
Labour isn't going to want one, and neither are the Tories now
there was already zero chance of a General election mainly due to the rules of general elections.

So, can someone please explain why the following happened ::::

2015 ::

Tories ......34,404 votes....58%
Libdems....11,389 votes....19%

2016 ::

Tories ......18,638 votes.... 45%
Libdems....20,510 votes.....49%

By any stretch of the imagination, this is a massive vote for the Libdems !
//
2016 ::

Tories ......18,638 votes.... 45%//

It's a miricale as they didnt take part
So, going to answer my question on a GE Mickey or still ignoring it?
as I said above mikey, the public love to upset the establishment, they took that chance here. That's why we have Trump, Brexit and a Troy government, all against the expectations.

Goldsmith is a Tory and will always remain a Tory, although perhaps UKIP will snap him up now, along with all the other useless ex-Tories !
Question Author
TTT has already answered that question for you YMB.....there won't be a GE before May 2020, because the rules won't allow it.
The Labour candidate,  Christian Wolmar, got 1,515 votes.
Perhaps the Layboor candidate's first name went against him.
shhh togo don't spoil the love in!
Oh! dear oh! dear....what a Political mess in the UK.

All the Spaniards that i have spoken to, cannot believe that UK opted out of EU.
The majority who voted in the referendum had no idea what they were voting for.(just a personal opinion)
The majority of Tories (just a guess) want to remain in the EU but because we have to "get out", nobody really knows how to do it.
EU wants UK out as quickly as possible.

Whatever Political persuasion had won the General Election, the "mess" would be exactly the same.

What a shambles.

Thanks Togo....rather insignificant in the affairs of men don't you think !
Question Author
Sqad.....yes, you are right. But Farage and UKIP scared the British public into narrowly voting for BREXIT, because of the innately racist and xenophobic nature of their campaign.

....lets get rid of all these foreigners, the ones that are flocking into Britain and taking all our jobs, etc, etc.
True Mickey, labout getting a low result is insignificant and expected these days.

Mickey a GE could be forced. If labour and the Lib dems fancy their chances they could table a motion. The Tories would have to go along with it or it would look like they were clinging to power and knew they could not win.

As you seem so elated that the Tories are on a looser would you like to see a ge forced?
Question Author
Forgot to add....a shambles indeed !
Ah, I see Mickey and Sqad are sharing a pummet of sour grapes.

Sqad, do you even live in this country?
sqad:"All the Spaniards that i have spoken to, cannot believe that UK opted out of EU." - why? they should try and free themselves from Tyranny too.
"The majority who voted in the referendum had no idea what they were voting for.(just a personal opinion)" - yes your opinion but they knew, they wanted out, end of, anything else is just fudging by the SGB.
"The majority of Tories (just a guess) want to remain in the EU but because we have to "get out", nobody really knows how to do it." - Not true in the wider country, perhaps in the commons.
"EU wants UK out as quickly as possible." - finally something the EU is correct on!
There is no shambles. Talks are clearly taking place that you are not privvy to and why should you be?
