Labour is on record as welcoming this good news about Nissan.

But its right that they should query what has been offered to Nissan, that hasn't been offered to other manufacturers.
Shouldn't that be 'whether' a deal was offered?
Zacs....well, until someone comes clean, or leaks, we won't know will we ?

/// But its right that they should query what has been offered to Nissan, that hasn't been offered to other manufacturers. ///

Why should they offer anything to any other manufactures, if they are willing to stay in the UK?

But then knowing how Labour hasn't a clue about finances, if it is money that is involved, they would be broadcasting how generous they had been and dished the dosh all around.
No we won't so your comment that they should query WHAT has been offered is a bit presumptuous.
Anna Soubry and Vince Cable are not Labour politicians?

Labour anti-worker screams the headline, but then the story beneath does not back that up, rather undermines it, in fact.
How unusual.
ZM, Nissan said they'd pull out unless the government promised to compensate them for any post-Brexit tariffs.

So they've clearly been offered something. I think it's reasonable to wonder exactly what it was, and whether other manufacturers will be making similar demands.
What did we expect....its the Express for goodness sake !

A newspaper that still thinks that Diana was murdered by MI5.
jno...well said !
I look forward to reading the proof jno.
[Labour] ‘is anti-worker’

It is in quotation marks, but did anyone (other than the Express) actually say it. No one in the the accompanying text says it. There is a vague reference to un-named Conservative MPs, but no quote there about anti-worker. Looks like something the Express has just made up.
The Express making things up?

Now, who would have thought that was possible !

/// A newspaper that still thinks that Diana was murdered by MI5. ...

Yes rather extreme, but do you have definite proof otherwise?

Please tell us mikey
I don't expect we will, ZM. Though if any compensation ever does become payable, we'll be the ones paying it. The odd thing is, it all smells of state intervention in the marketplace, which is usually derided when Labour do it.
Oh no pleeeeease...lets,not head off down the Diana track.
Wonder how much Maggie May and her merry men are thinking of paying the banks that are threatening to leave the UK, because of Brexit.
jno, //The odd thing is, it all smells of state intervention in the marketplace, which is usually derided when Labour do it. //

That is odd. You'd think Labour supporters would be delighted.
AOG...Diana wan't murdered. She, Dodi and the driver of the car were killed because the car they were all in was being driven at a reckless speed, along a very twisty tunnel.

I also drove along that tunnel, just 4 weeks after the accident, and anyone driving along at high speed was asking for trouble.

The only one who survived was her bodyguard, and he made it through because he was the only one wearing a seat belt.

If the rest had had seat-belts on, they would probably have survived.

End of story !
Probably too busy tearing pages out of mine kampf to dry their tears.
