A suitable party leader or not? If the DM dug deep enough I'm sure they could find skeletons in most politicians.

AOG - do you think James is the one for doing precisely that?

By this statement alone, she gets my vote.

/// "The Government and the media are now waking up far too late to warnings that have been deemed taboo for well over a decade. Theresa May proclaimed that IS has nothing to do with Islam. Trying to separate the two for fear of causing insult is illogical and will not help us to investigate and really tackle the causes of the problem." ///
Agchristie,
Corbyn doesn't seem like a good leader either.
But he hasn't had a chance, his own MPs have never accepted the democratic result.

AOG - thanks.

Gromit > Corbyn doesn't seem like a good leader either.

I'd go further. He is not a good leader but it could be worse. It could be Smith who already has the tea brewing for that friendly chat with IS.

Every leader of every party goes through this.

Diane James is being treated exactly how anyone else would in the same situation.

Sp - either I've missed something but how many skeletons does Theresa May have then?
involved in two marriage breakups !!! oh no whats the world coming to ?

i thought shed done something bad or serious at first..talk about clutching at straws

The question has been put to Mikey several times about fearing UKIP but it seems that there are plenty out there who have a degree of angst.

If a party not in power pulls of Brexit who knows what else they might be capable of doing eh?
Dunno.

Entirely possible that the newspapers haven't found any.

What I'm saying is that all politicians are scrutinised by both us and the media. It's been going on for hundreds of years.

None of us needed to know that John Major and Edwina Currie had an affair, but the media told us.

None of us needed to know that Cecil Parkinson had sired an illegitimate child, but the media told us.

None of us needed to know that Bill Clinton had received oral sex in the White House, but the media told us.
Agchristie,
The Labour Leader Contest is indeed very strange. There is Corbyn and there is the one who isn't Corbyn. That appears to be the choice. A lack lustre contender because no real alternative candidate is prepare to stand.
agchristie....I don't fear UKIP, in any way. The Party only has 1 MP, and its Leader couldn't even get elected to Parliament. There is no evidence that will change in any way in the future, especially if they elect this entirely unsuitable woman.....there...I agree with you !....she really is unsuitable !

I was merely responding to your thread.
Question Author
Gromit - indeed. It is almost like a leadership challenge being fought by a train carriage full of empty seats....
Question Author
Mikey > thanks for your answer though I'm not sure what you are agreeing with me about! I have not said James is an unsuitable leader.
// especially if they elect this entirely unsuitable woman. //

She would be a good leader. Why is she unsuitable, Mikey?
agchristie.....yes, you are right but you are certainly questioning her suitability, and have provided some evidence to suggest that she not suitable, which is what some of us are debating here this morning.

But its a matter on no real consequence to me either way, as I maintain that UKIP has done its job and its now of no importance one way of the other.

UKIP has campaigned itself into oblivion.
/// She would be a good leader. Why is she unsuitable, Mikey? ///

Any leader would be unsuitable to lead a party that our mikey is *** scared of.
mikey4444

/// But its a matter on no real consequence to me either way, as I maintain that UKIP has done its job and its now of no importance one way of the other. ///

Perhaps we may see you no longer keep going on about them then?

/// UKIP has campaigned itself into
oblivion. ///

Only in your dreams mikey.
I have to agree with mikey at 10.01.
It does not matter a damn who is in charge of UKIP !.
They are an irrelevance.
AOG.....see Eddies post above !

By the way, thanks Ed.
