We are allowed to criticise the establishment? In fact even show the establishment up for a lie they have given out as a truth?

If not we will be no better than North Korea where the Dear Leader has to be revered as a living God that can do no wrong.

Just another reason some in the Labour Party are living in a bubble.

An idea I had was that the rally's and hustings taking place with the Labour leadership (in fact all political caampaigning perhaps) shouldn't be in front of an adoring frenzied crowd of your supporters but in those undecideds and those that don't think you or your policies are right. That would show them how the others really think and will show their debating powers!!

Richard Branson did nothing wrong in defending his company against Corbyn's claims.

Exactly Danny.

To start on the road to taking honours away just for showing Corbyn up as a liver is beyond the pail.

I have never thought of the Torys as the 'nasty party' just for doing their job but Labour is starting to actually turn into a nasty party.
We already have a Dear Leader. His name translates from Korean to English as Jere My Cor Byn.
Branson / Virgin exposed Corbyn for being a liar, so this does look a little like sour grapes.

Virgin is a big UK employer and Branson treats his staff somewhat better (e.g. unlimited holidays) than, say, Philip Green treats his. I do think Green should lose his knighthood as his morals and ethics are below "chivalrous" standards.

Personally, I think people can choose to live where they want and that people who live in the UK, and businesses who operate in the UK, have a duty to avoid legally as much tax as they are morally comfortable with avoiding, especially if said taxes were going to fund the kind of loony policies that Corbyn and McDonnell would put in place.
Our Dear Leader is Theresa May I thought or have I overslept or missed something.
Or the Queen - and in this country we don't harass people who don't singalong a GTSQ :-)
it seems a little hypocritical of you to sy "we shoud be allowed to critisise the establishment" as this is exctly what the politician is doing too, and you seem to imply he shouldn't be allowed to.
Bednobs. It was more than criticism
Corbyn wants to take Branson's train business from him by Nationalising it. Branson retaliated and defended his business. Not sure he showed Corbyn up as a liar though, other people were also forced to stand because the train was full. In Bransons case it does look like sour grapes though, and Philip Green they are just jumping on a band wagon.

The Honours system should be shaken up. Political toadies, donors and civil servants all receiving gongs for nowt. Not to mention third rate entertainers and the Prime Minister's wife's stylist. Honours should be for people who have achieved something, not for doing the job they are paid to do.

The politician is calling for someone to lose an honour for a critism of Corbyn. I am saying it is undemocratic to say he should 'get demoted' so to speak for whistle blowing the leaders lies. That is not a democracy.

Like all Labour politicians for some time to come he won't get a chance to implement it. All talk and no substance.
people are awarded honours for past deeds, not as a means of stopping them leaving the country in future. Potty idea.
I expect Branson's announcement that he will no longer donate to the Labour party very soon. Of course we can criticise the establishment - the current Labour leadership is exhibiting traits more usually associated with neurotic communism i.m.o..
There was a good definition posted recently on jokes, plays on words.... "In a democracy it's your vote that counts, with a feudalistic Dear Leader State it's your Count (Corbyn) who votes...
I assume then that John McDonnell thinks that having photographs taken of somebody sitting on the floor when there were seats available is acting in the spirit of this country.
> Corbyn wants to take Branson's train business from him by Nationalising it. Branson retaliated and defended his business.

No, Branson retaliated as Corbyn claimed the train was "ram-packed" when it clearly from the CCTV evidence it was not, hence Corbyn lied.

Otherwise quite a lucky coincidence, as that particular off-peak train is rarely ram-packed and Corbyn turned up with a film crew to make a film about a ram-packed train. Also I wonder if he got permission to film on that train.

Gromit, I have travelled on many trains where people sat between carriages rather than seats in carriages. I have also travelled on many trains where people did not sit in reserved seats even though the time for the reservation had passed or was not due. I am also aware that probably 1 in 3 or more passengers on that train were Labour supporters, especially as it was a train to Newcastle. Also, it's odd that Corbyn's team did not reserve seats. Also, regular travellers on that train report that it's rarely packed.

Finally, and most importantly, the CCTV shows that it wasn't ram-packed!
The CCTV shows the train was not rammed at the end of the journey, not at the beginning.
Even Virgins own pictures show other passenger stood up during the journey, unable to get a seat.

// I am also aware that probably 1 in 3 or more passengers on that train were Labour supporters, especially as it was a train to Newcastle. //
What an utterly stupid thing to write. Totally idiotic.
It was actually a train to Stirling, so factor in the SNP supporters!
