In case you are wondering V is the new B.
/// "Both the United Kingdom government and the Scottish government said they would abide by that," she added. ///

Are Scotland not part of the United Kingdom then?

She should keep her little tartan nose out of things, the UK Government should speak on behalf of us all.
Question Author
so she meant "the UK government" then!
Actually, TTT, B in Russian is pronounced V. You need a different letter for a 'B' sound. 'Б'
AOG - the UK Government might speak for you but it certainly doesn't speak for me and thousands like me. Scotland does not want to leave Europe as was very clear from the referendum vote.
But neither does it want to leave the rest of us. Bit of a dilemma there.

It does maggie, it speaks for the UK and Scotland voted to stay in the UK.

/// AOG - the UK Government might speak for you but it certainly doesn't speak for me and thousands like me. Scotland does not want to leave Europe as was very clear from the referendum vote. ///

And it was also clear that from your referendum vote, you are still part of the United Kingdom.

Incidentally unlike Scotland being able to join in the EU referendum vote, we in England were not allowed to vote in your referendum.

If we had, then maybe you would have got your wish and became a separate nation, but since you are not, the UK Government speaks for all of us.
Interesting that her full day in office TM visits Nicola S in Scotland ?
Question Author
new leaders like to survey their territory anne.
But Scotland is such a small part of the territory .
Yes Anne, but a very important part.
Oh good grief! Self-praise is no recommendation!
And the First Minister and the Prime Minister found the talks positive and constructive.
Good!
Maybe TM has relatives in Edinburgh and stopped by to see NS. ? :-)
The back bedroom of number 49 Acacia Avenue is a very important part of the UK and they wish to stay in. As do the Smiths at number 65.
"Mik yer meend oop"? For pity's sake, TTT, is that meant to be Serbo-Croat or have you never actually heard a Scot speaking? Lancastrians might say 'oop' for 'up'...Jocks don't.
'Mak yer mine up' would be vastly closer to accuracy. (Always happy to help.)
AOG - could you explain why Scotland would not be involved in the EU referendum if, as you say, we are part of the UK?
Maggie. Be patient with them, politics outside the south east of England confuse them. Best to let them cackle amongst themselves. !!!!?
Well said Anne, I'll bow out now.
