Good morning to you too waterboatman
Not such a good one weatherwise though and I'm only up because of the storm out there which woke me.Chucking it down and clapping away out there.I get a bit jittery when there's a storm so am up drinking tea and eating toast.I won't survive the day ..lol.
Yes ,I'm about as far east as you can get on the coast of Norfolk .Just watching it on Accuweather. It's travelling right up from the south to The Wash.The rest of the map is dry. Seems to have eased off a bit now though so will try for some more shut eye .Have a good day .
yup - the plants and the ground are warm due to the daytime sun ( if it appears) - and then the plants are shocked with a lashing of cold water
- I fill a few watering cans/ empty plastic drinks bottles and let them sit so as they come to normal temp - rather than dousing the plants with cold running water from the hose- admittedly I have to hose the bigger areas at times tho
I have a water butt, so that shouldn't be a problem. There isn't much that
needs watering. Takes about ten minutes to do it. Vera showed me what needs watering \and what can be left to it's own devices.
No mate. I usually put some spuds in containers, but haven't yet this year. I get all my veg, including spuds, from farms, doesn't come much fresher. :o}
