Larf. 'Mikey's film' is supposed to be running down the EDL and bigging up the UAF.
The only actual figures we heard, presumably the best ones the film-maker could find, came from Bolton. 73 arrests, 54 from the UAF. I wonder how many of the other 19 were from the EDL and how many from other far left organisations who are drawn to such marches to cause trouble.
As an aside, I could make a WI meeting look edgy using the old shaky camera trick.

I just hope that the West Midlands Police do not police this impending demo too robustly.After all 8 months in prison for policing a left wing demo and losing job/pension etc is a lot to think about when trying to protect the public and keep law and order. I hope your old mates don't go in too heavy this weekend, although they will have to keep order one way or the other I suppose. Its their duty, after all.
But where is the money going to come from to pay for all this extra Policing ?
Perhaps savings can be made from not having to hang around outside WI Meetings, to see if anybody was chanting " ***g ***s !

Mikey, I don’t understand why you are afraid of those dimwits. Do you really think they’re going to influence society as a whole? I doubt it. The woman in the burka should give you more cause for concern. There’s no one more right wing than people with her attitude, and yet you seem to be totally oblivious to that.

That's rich coming from the Left of politics, who's members take to the streets when the results of the 'ballot box' goes against them.

So, all the far left crowd need to do is stand off and let the far right lot do whatever they had planned, regarding this mosque. Which can't be anything damaging, with the police looking on.
@AOG the left are their own worst enemy, sometimes but what specific protest are you referring to? Post-election sulking isn't a likely justification for a march. Can you be sure it was not anti-austerity, anti NHS-privatisation or anti-nuke or whatever else?

Is that a typo: "left wing"? Or are you citing an actual incident where the left really did cause some service police to be imprisoned, with forfeiture etc.?

I wondered about this - Beaminster church plays westminister on the hour - cute really - at least it did in the fifties. and the point was raised by a new comer. he was lucky not to be a new-leaver.

I have at no point expressed approval OR disapproval of 'Islamification' of the UK. Unless and until I do so, kindly count me out of your generalisations. Failure to express disapproval does not equate to approval. It is a straightforward attempt to avoid possible legal action, due to incomplete knowledge of the law. (Ignorance being deemed no excuse).
