Don't hold your breath. :-)
Well done to anyone who helps to reveal such plots - I haven't a biased bone in my body.
One has to ask what was the parent's input in this devious little plot. Her older sister is a IS recruiter so one would assume they SHOULD be monitoring the younger girls activities in case.I believe it said the parents were shocked. Really. Shocked that the scheme unfolded and was foiled perhaps. The enemy, indeed, within.
It seem sthe Daily Mail journalists are smarter than our anti-terror police and security services who appear to not be able to avert these IS sympathisers from travelling.

Perhaps one day some brave judge will rule that such youngsters should be put in care, it happens, but then not those of the Muslim faith it would seem.

//It seem sthe Daily Mail journalists are smarter than our anti-terror police and security services who appear to not be able to avert these IS sympathisers from travelling.//

could it be that our security services actually have no interest who might - or might not - seek to join the islamic revolution, but found that they had to act on this occasion due to the principle of guilty knowledge?
Having been aware of her sister's interests the parents should have took her passport and lodged it somewhere safe.
Could this girl have travelled without it?
You've got to take your hat off to our security people re bomb plots. On average there's one plotter convicted every day. Long may they keep 'winning'.
// On average there's one plotter convicted every day. Long may they keep 'winning'. //

Which Ministry of Disinformation did you get that from?

They didn't get that many convictions in the 12 years since the new terrorist information was inteoducedin 2001, nevermind in one year.

// Between 11 September 2001 and 30 September 2013, 348 individuals have been convicted of terrorism-related offences, including murder, illegal possession of firearms and explosives offences. //

Obviously misread something but they're doing a great job. Since Lee Rigby was murdered, 2 years ago today, they've foiled every* plot that's been hatched against us. So credit to them. (*providing you can't google one I've forgotten)
Strange. 338 arrested last year according to this.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-32735484
And 218 so far this year. More than 1 a day.
I can see where I went wrong. I should have said arrested not convicted. Plenty of them get off for a variety of reasons.
What are the reasons?
Just off the top of my head; Accepted control orders, absconded from bail, in camera evidence not accepted. Who knows, 1 or 2 might even have been innocent(ish)

"I am sure that the anti-Mail brigade will now give credit where it is due?"

Yes...good work by the Daily Mail.

But this doesn't alter my perception of the Mail. Far too much churnalism for my tastes.
