the conservatives have always been weaker in the north and stronger in the south - i think the fact that UKIP are worrying labour in what has traditionally been secure country for them is rather significant
Question Author
Yes it is I think, excel.

you struck lucky today tony - i never enter into political discussions

- i will be glad when the election is over, whatever the result -
Question Author
Won't be long now, excel.
A nice piece of unbiased opinion from UKIP's well-balanced deputy leader, who is sensibly predicting forthcoming election behaviour based on recent by-election results ...
Looks like a safe Tory seat where I am 'ooup North'. 10,000 majority last time (E Yorks). The interesting bit is that if the Lib. vote collapses entirely and the UKIP member collects a few thou, the numbers equalise! I am torn how to vote and shall watch with interest.
I know several people from Birmingham who are switching from Labour to Ukip.
Question Author
So do I, naomi.
Tony....Mr Nuttall is quoted in your link as saying that he is trying to end up as second in 100 seats. But Labour and the Tories have come second in much more than 100 seats, for as long as anyone can remember !

Who cares who came second in anything ? There was someone on here yesterday, that predicted that UKIP would do quite well in a few days time, but would then be responsible for a "landslide" in 5 years time !

Away with the faeries if you ask me !
