Got it in one.
I've seen it time and time again on here. The serially offended are the most likely to dish out offensive remarks when it suits.

I wrote:

"However, if you did not say that some people feel that gay people deserve a kicking for flaunting their sexuality, I retract."

Was that not enough of a retraction?

And let's try to remember, I did not say that you said gays deserve a hiding.

Please reread my post.

Yes, you are so correct.

If you take a look at this thread, you will notice that there are people who have intelligently put their arguments forward, and then there are others who resort to using childish pejorative terms...which actually goes to prove what some us think about them.
divebuddy

Dogging?

Are you aware of that?
There may be a "dark side" to gay life. But in fact you can just delete the word "gay" from that sentence. Some people are just plain nasty. Doesn't matter what their sexuality is. Conflating it with sexuality is wrong.
divebuddy

You know what...?

I'm now thinking that it was you who stated that some people think that gay people deserve a good kicking.

It was your removed post and your vermin comment that makes me think this.

I am temporarily retracting my retraction, so I can check back on AB.

Will report later.

But try not to get so worked up. It's just a discussion...no need to get so offended.
There is a dark side to most things...bigotry......religion......even heterosexuality......

You can't just pick and choose to try to boost a weak and narrow minded arguement.....
divebuddy - There is a dark side to life........full stop.

Using the fact that 'some' gay men prefer quick al fresco encounters as a stick to beat *all* gay people has got to be wrong in any right-thinking person's mind, surely?

And surely these right-thinking people would do their best to convince those people holding such unpleasant views that they are in error?

Most have agreed that Cottaging is wrong and most have also said that they have never(or hardly ever) come across it - if it is rife in your area then the authorities need to get their act together.
Amazing.... gone from protecting kids form too much too soon to a right royal slagging match about gender issues.... lighten up kiddiwinkies
divebuddy

My point is - you highlight the behaviour of gay people:

Cottaging
Flaunting sexuality

But when I challenged you that these behaviours are also displayed by straight people, you went silent.

So - would you agree that straight people indulge in similar behaviours?

divebuddy - "A_H, you are unbelievable. Be polite!!!!!! Have you read some of your own posts. Insulting other people is your default position."

I will concede that my posts are robust - but they are not personaly insulting - I have never told anyone to shut up - that is beyond the line.

If you want to argue any point where you feel i have been rude to you - please feel free - that is what the AB is for.
I didn't see your comment, divebuddy, it had been removed by the time I came back to this question.

But you *do* realise that woodland areas are used for all sorts of sexual activity.......not just gay male sex?
