I'm with TTT here. I don't expect what I am going to say to be popular but I am going to go ahead anyway ! These tattoos just look childish. When I was a boy in the 50's and early 60's, we used to buy packs of bubble gum with transfers in them, in the way home from school. You licked these paper transfers and then stuck them on your arm. But as soon as you got home, Mum would...

Talbot, it seems you know even less about geography than your average American doesn't it.

o' dear
I guess you haven't met many Americans have divebuddy?
Talbot...my little joke at 14:09 has obviously gone right over your head !
Nobody can say that I didn't try though, can they ?
Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch ;o)
That came after your opening judgmental comments, mikey.
Yikes I thought they had got better at it - tat removal I mean

There's quite a lot of scarring .....
PP...one rather hopes that the process was a tad on the painful side !

TTT....Great post today...I haven't enjoyed myself like this for ages !
Perhaps they should apply for a transfer!
"In my uniform you can't see my tattoos As I keep it professional"
thats what the girl says. Therefore she is admitting they are unprofessional.
I have been out all morning...there seems to be a lot of answers removed...what has been going on ?

// I have tattoos myself, I don't care whether anyone likes them or not.
Mine are all in places they can easily be hidden by normal clothing.
I had them in these places so that it wouldn't hinder future job prospects. //

A sensible attitude.

Ludwig...I agree...the voice of reason and common sense.
BEDNOBS - ""In my uniform you can't see my tattoos As I keep it professional"
thats what the girl says. Therefore she is admitting they are unprofessional."

That is not a valid conclusion.

I think the inference of the post in saying 'leep it professional... ' is meant in terms of presentingwhat is generally perceived as a profeesional image, which is entirely distinct from professional behaviour, and attitude.

I think you knew that, and you are point-scoring - badly.
Sipowicz...just seen your little joke ...lol !
I've got a tattoo on my right bicep that says 'Egg foo yung'.
It's not chinese letters or anything. It just says 'Egg foo yung'.
Someone mentioned 'Mad Max' extras or similar at the start of this thread, I know there are extremes in everything but looking at those in the article, I see nothing to frighten Children, the elderly or indeed anyone.

As my sight has diminished more and more over life, the true nature of 'visual discrimination'(coined earlier) has become all too apparent.

I have been treated badly at the hands of some professionals as I am sure most have and no Tattoos were in any way part of this mistreatment.

lol Ludwig ! These tattoos in foreign languages really puzzle me, especially the ones in Asian scripts. How do they know what is written ?

My niece's new boyfriend has one across his shoulders in an asian script, that could be Chinese, Japanese, or even Korean, but he doesn't know which. Nor does he know what it says in English ! You couldn't make it up !
Ludwig, is that to remind you what last night's supper was?
I'm actually excellent when it comes to geography, divebuddy. I am perfectly aware that Llandudno is a village in Wales, which is in turn a small town in England.

You seem lost with my post @ 14:23 Tue 23rd Sep 2014. Read it again and you may work out what I mean.
Many mistakes have been made re the foreign symbol and lettering ones - when you are spending large amounts of money, you need to research very carefully and not just trust you are getting what you thought.

A family member spends months researching designs and the correct pigments before consulting her Tattoo Artist (who has a very large waiting list) and only when all criteria are fulfilled is the decision made to go ahead.

I do wish that those who choose to have some ink applied after a gallon of firewater on holiday would be more cautious.
