viral ??? bored me stiff and I gave up half way.
Good indication of why turnouts can be low though. Anyone wanting to be a candidate is likely to be unsuitable as normal folk are getting on with their lives instead.

We mustn't forget that this is America and they have elected some pretty weird people in the past. Sarah Palin was Governor in Alaska, you know...the one who called her kids Trig, Track and Bristol. Even Ronnie Reagan made it to the White House !
