Dreadful morning - so dark, gale force winds and driving rain here in Leicestershire - not a day to venture out! Hope all AB friends up in Scotland are keeping safe - it sounds far worse up there!

Essex flatlands here. Wild and windy here as well. Opened car door and the wind pulled the car door violently and almost took me out of the car. I was at least half way out on the pavement.
Whole house rattling, cats scared, recycling bins flying all over the place, even the floors are creaking! I had plans to go out today, I've decided to stay in. Just heard Edinburgh airport is closed as well, this is the worst it's been in a long time.

The wild weather has passed through now here in Leicestershire - thats just typical, as I earlier cancelled a day out shopping with my friend, as she would have had to drive about 20 miles to take me out and I was thinking about her safety. Oh well got lots to do, so perhaps a blessing in disguise!
Blowing a gale here in North Devon!!

How can it change so quickly - yesterday was freezing cold, very windy but fantastic sunshine the whole day long - lifted our spirits as we travelled to relatives in Derbyshire. Today its mild but dark and extremely dismal - very depressing!
Dropped back here and sunlight now...still blowing a bit in mid Cornwall.

Welcome back, you sinner, ratter and a belated Happy Birthday, Christmas and New Year to you.......
