Or cry may be at some of the statements Matt Hancock comes out with. They are now going to close most of the nightingales in April, he says that these hospitals have played a critical role. My question , how can staff less empty hospitals have played a critical role? I'm confused.

No doubt Stanley Johnson ,or someone related to Matt Hanckock, owned the land or had shares in the Company who built them.

Not on about poor prep, I'm on about a critical part.
yes part of that is anticipation, you'd be the first getting your Alans in an Brahms if they weren't prepped.
Question Author
So getting the nightingales fitted out ( with no staff) was that good preparation??
yes, if the NHS got overwhelmed they would have been needed. Gawd It ain't difficult!
by your logic we should never have anything in reserve ever.
Question Author
You've missed the point ( NO STAFF) was that good prep having no staff??
they had staff should they be needed, they were not. Stop digging love.
Question Author
We would have had 30 million pounds in reserve to pay extra nurses if he hadn't have given it to his pub mate
I'd love to continue this turkey shoot but I have to go out. TTFN.
Question Author
17.26 No they've been short of staff for years now, just in case you've missed the news 40k nurses short. and thats just to run normal, never mind a pandemic.
I'm giving this one to teacake over the colonel. :-)
Question Author
Thought you might, I see you've been avoiding the 30 million for some time now. No real answer at all, or an excuse for that one. :0))
Teacake, I can’t post a link
but on 6 Feb 2020
you posted a thread complaining that the government hadn’t provided nearly enough beds. Make your mind up.
I'm with Teacake on this - they rushed through creating the Nightingales (not building - I think they used existing buildings) without thinking through the staffing implications.

They could have used them for covid with staff taken from other hospitals & left the remainder to deal with normal cases without the added risks of covid infection.
The op is trolling you all. Back in Feb 2020 the moan was that Boris was not providing enough spare beds for the coming doomsday pandemic. Then it was make schools emergency hospital wards, because folk needed the beds now, then it was boasting about a day at the seaside or a picnic and a bottle of Brandy or 2. I can't for the life of me see how this persistant(haha) poster is allowed to put such disingenuous tripe where it is supposed to be seriously considered.
Oh dear TC which side of the fence are you really on.
Naomi is right..

Togo, thats very strong calling me a troll. Let me put you right, you are right about me saying that Boris was not acting quickly enough to make spare beds in 2020 and I still stand by that 100%, If he had done, all the infected people could have gone into the Nightingales rather than infect the hospitals and onward the care homes, act quick, prepare is the key , Boris did neither until it was to late!!

You've got the seaside mixed up with the legal river walk, and a picnic on my own, all the time every time. Got it now?
Hopefully that will block your.. Flue!
Question Author
And still stand by that Naomi, but you've forgot I said, get prepared, China put infected people in make shift hospitals, and even today thats what we should be doing so other people can get treated for other problems that are killing them, as long as there is covid patients in the hospitals then other patients that are going in for other treatment will catch covid.
Question Author
Thanks ala your just high lighting how right I was. Your a star for finding that. Thank you so much you've unblocked my flue
