it's probably been asked on here, but I may have missed it.

Isn't he the Middle East Peace Envoy or some such?

What's he doing/saying about israel?Gaza and Iraq?

From my viewpoint, the silence is deafening.

he isn't a Labour envoy surely, but a Middle East Envoy,
Not sure he's met any of the hoi polloi since his last half a shandy in Sedgefield Labour Club...
He's an ex labour leader. Being an envoy has yet changed his political leanings.
Hasn't

someone once asked 'how do you know a politician is lying?'
answer 'his /her lips move'

In a perfect world, they would actually do what they say when they want elected, but that is a pipe dream. :-(
I wonder who wrote that for him. A lot has happened since 31st July.
no it may not, but he cannot afford to be left right or centre, his so called job is to be a Middle East Envoy, to mediate, not play British politics.
his stance would be if its a real job to help those in need, intervene, get those miscreants round the table, no one does the job as a Labour, Conservative, Lib Dem or raving loony party member.
Yo Blair as Geordie bush would say

there's been quite a few ceasefires since 31st July.

The office of Tony Blair isn't exactly keeping up to date.

(Emmie, am glad to see you posting again)
Emmie, I think your kidding yourself. Do you really think Blair has put aside his politics to become an envoy?
i am not being naive i am saying that as an envoy and the same for anyone who takes on that role. ambassador, in the nature of the job party affiliations won't come into it. He will presumably stay a Labour man,
that doesn't mean he brings that to the job of peace envoy. don't understand why you can't see that.
I don't understand why you can't see that if he is successful in advancing the stalemate towards a solution then it will look good for the current government. Now why would he want to do that and alienate all his supporters / cronies / business associates?
so you are saying he won't help cameron in anyway, that is patently absurd.
surely if Cameron were peace envoy, then party politics doesn't come into it.
its a job without political stance, surely. He may not have changed his politics i never said he did, but as a Peace Envoy, why would he bring his Labour credentials to the table, no more clegg or milliband, Cameron
I don't think his job is to say anything, at least not in public. He's meeting people.
I don't say he won't do anything but as has been proven by the links, it's the bare (or should I say Blair) minimum.
so being a peace envoy on paper essentially all the while creaming it off the top with his rich friends, what a guy.
get Brown, he saved the world once. ;-)
