Had heard of them but never heard anything by them, until today when one of their songs was on the radio

Boy was it depressing repetitive dirge, it droned on and on and on

Apparently they've won 'music' awards.......what the feck for? Who buys this cr@p?

I actually don't really like any music to be described as crap.

Just because some people don't like it doesn't make it crap, there is all sorts of music and all sorts of tastes in music and there is plenty of room for all. I also don't really like the whole trying to split music in genres and people saying "I don't like X genre of music" as there tends to be good and bad in all of them (I don't like most drum and bass, but goldies timeless is a great album)

(I make an exception for Rebecca Black, Friday.... that is crap)
Free form jazz IS crap Chuck! ;oP

(Do understand what you mean but free form jazz actually makes me angry... seriously get quite agitated listening to it, no idea why! Lol)
All the best things come from Bury.....:o)
So do I China. It just isn't music to me in any shape size of form. I do struggle too with Trad Jazz, it really grates on me.

Other than that I like things from most genres.
.....and Radcliffe..jth,.....although Bury Market is Brill
Just for China

Jericho is extra-specially good...........
Beauty is in the ear of the beholder Joe me old mucker. You don't *have* to like it.
I went to see Courtney Pine because he was playing at my local outdoor pool (of all places). God what a din. A tune would`ve been nice but that`s the nature of jazz I guess.
dont forget Stubbins
I'm not a great fan of jazz either. Though I did go to a jazz club one night with a couple of friends and a baby squirrel (yes seriously) and it wasn't too bad.
Thanks for posting Quassia. Amazing.

I could fall in love with Quasimodo if he had a voice like Guy's ;o)
what did you say chuck...???

How do you interpret Elbows 'Switching Off' ... Is it the end of a relationship ... Or someone saying their final goodbye before death?
... final goodbye to a loved one ..
Guy Garvie - Legend.

Saw them recently at the SECC in Glasgow..... awesome... took my 14yr old nephew to his first ever gig and he was blown away by how good it was........
and personally having been to countless gigs and seen all the current big named bands, the elbow gig was one of the best yet......
... & what an introduction for your nephew!!
