It can be started on the 1st may (although obviously you can't drive it until then)

Oh, Sorry, you can only tax it two days before the end of the month (I was sure it was a week)

you can apply for car tax a week or more before to start on the 1st next month
i do it on line got mine for may last week |

It won't let me do it on line - I can't remember actual wording but it definitely said I would have to produce the docs at a post office

Oh heck - looking at the V10 form I am now getting really scared.
I bought the car in Feb - taxed and MOT'd - and have used it a few times. A week ago my son noticed that the tax disc is out of date - don't laugh at my senior moment but it hadn't occurred to me to look at the disc. Checking with the garage that I bought it from they were convinced they'd taxed it and are still checking their records. The V10 form asks about storage and usage while untaxed and then mentions heavy penalties. |
