Need their head testing. I phoned up for a car that was for sale locally, and spoke to the owner, even said I could pay cash for it now, I lived 5 minutes away from her, only for her to say she has a guy coming to view it tomorrow morning and travelling from Dorchester !! Madness. Silly woman passed up a sale there.

Silly maybe, but fair keeping her side of an agreement. If Mr. Dorchester doesn't want it you'll get your turn if you left your number.
Maybe she couldn't contact Mr Dorchester to let him know not to come if you had bought it. She was playing fair, at her expense.
Question Author
She's was obviously not desperate to sell it then.
I agree - very fair of her.
How would you have felt if on turning up to buy the car you found that she had sold it to her next door neighbour and wasted your time......?
Question Author
Harsh as it sounds but look after No. 1...if you want to sell something then sell it.
Perhaps Mr Dorchester is willing to pay her more..........?
Question Author
Especially in this current economic climate, I would have taken the money and made a fast sale. End of.
But where do you live now?

I agree with others BTW, she was showing honour to an agreement, why did you think she'd be desperate to sell it?
Question Author
I didnt say she was desperate to sell, i lived 20 minutes away from her, hence the 'locally' in my OP. It just doesnt make sense to me - a buyer - that's all.

Have you moved 15 minutes further away since you posted this thread?
Question Author
No need for stupid answers either dear oh dear.
Possibly further, as it's still in the past tense.
An ice floe maybe? :)
That's what you get for putting up stupid threads..........deary, deary me.
Question Author
Oh dear, so I missed a '1' off the 5...shoot me Mwahahaha!.
Question Author
Typical Jack the hat response, rude and unhelpful.
Question Author
Get me a needle and thread.
I'd be suspicious if someone called me and said they would show up in 20 minutes to buy the car I was selling with cash. She probably thinks you're well dodge!
