Hiring a car from Munich airport this July. Is it better to pre-book or wait until we arrive and try for a bargain? Any one help?

I'd suggest you try to rent a car online as that can be much cheaper. unfortunately I don't have any web sites to link to.

Some Airlines have a rent-a-car at the other end type of package, friends of mine have used that sort of thing and told me they saved a load of money.

It's unlikely that there would be any advantage in waiting until you get to the airport. (Doing so would probably simply ensure that you were forced to pay 'top whack' for your car hire).

Thanks guys, a great help. Just ordered a Merc with Hertz, only a tenner more than an Astra with 121. Sorted!
