Is there an easy way on line to find out if a car is stolen, without bothering the bizzies?

I moved house about three months ago, and a car parked round the side hasn't moved in all the time I have been here. It is taxed.

Yes, plenty of companies like the AA will do an HPI check on any car for around 35.
report it to your local council,if its nicked or dumped, they will take it away.
If it's taxed and legally parked, the council won't bother.

Is it parked on the road or private property?

It is taxed and parked legally on one on a spur off a cul de sac. I think it is adopted as there is a street light

Almost certainly it isn't stolen, but belongs to one of the 5 houses down there. It doesn't really affect me except that the front bumper overhangs a grass border of mind so it is hard to cut it neatly. I don't want to alienate new neighbours by demanding to know whose it is, I just think it is strange that it never moves.

Tax runs out in two months so I'll wait and see what happens. If nothing then I'll speak to the neighbours, but it is too good to be a dumper.

Thanks all for your comments.
