In that case I hope she is waited on hand and foot, as befits Bathsheba Everdene by either Sgt Troy or Farmer Boldwood ( nose like red cork ) or both .... during her recovery
[ that was a not very veiled comment on Far From the Madding Crowd]
I've only just seen this! Thanks Postdog for posting, and so many thanks to all of you! How heartwarming :)
Gness, I do have to have follow-up treatment, chemo + radiotherapy, just to make sure it doesn't come back, but the surgeon says she got it all out. Also, it will be at The Christie, the best in the country! :)
Grit your teeth. The surgeon got all mine out but I believe a belt and braces option is best. I chose the chemo although I was told it was not entirely necessary. I had Dukes B which could of been worse. I was fortunate. Did they tell you what Dukes you had?
Good Luck for the future. I have a clean bill of health but have a cat scan annually and a colonoscopy every three.
P.S. Gness has chosen to leave us.
Retro, sorry, I'm not sure I understand. I've just Googled Dukes B and it relates to colon cancer? I've had a hysterectomy and a bilateral salpingo-oopherectomy.
Yes, I know Gness has been driven away, but just in case she looks in.
Thanks for the good wishes.
Baths - had the same as you six years ago at the Christie and still here going strong. Agree with you it is the best in the country. Are you from the Manchester area by any chance?
