minty, thank you. Nice to be missed isn't it? I went up to London and set off early. I'm so glad I no longer live there. I really hate it now. It's so noisy and dirty. Maybe it always was of course but I was younger so didn't notice so much. Can't believe I lived and worked there for many many years. Life is so much cleaner on the Sussex coast.

I can only agree with that jan. I lived in Woolwich as a child, my dad was a soldier and was stationed there, I hated it even then!

Jan I know what you mean..I thought I missed London too till I had to go back for en route travel...had forgotten the mess litter , dirt and rudeness !!

I expect Easter weekend is a busy time for you at the canal centre Boaty ? Not really a big thing in Scotland..people think it's a bit odd when I send cards, but having lived over the border for so many years it's a habit I got into...Good Friday was my first BBQ of the year..a big do with all the neighbours and friends....much partaking went on tilly very late....
